If I could relive one year of my life, which one would it be? The answer might seem obvious. 2009. The year I met Gary, the love of my life who invited me into his and became my husband in 2010.
But there were challenges in our tumultuous and passionate beginning. Unexpected, tough challenges Gary was strong enough to accept with his limitless strength and love. I still can’t believe God blessed me with this man.
Then in May of 2013 the waves abated and in one breathless moment my life took a dramatic turn.
As I stood on the brink of the grandest landscape I’d ever seen, an accordion of truth unfolded before me in layers farther than I could see. There, right there, as my soul fell to its knees, I knew I would forever be different. Spiritually, physically, emotionally different. Better. Maybe even healed.
There was more to life, more to my life than I ever thought possible.
That day in May 2013 defined my destiny. I’d give anything to relive that year with all its forgotten ups and downs just to relive that one glorious unforgettable moment.
You’ll find the full story HERE and its illustration in my poem Lost and Found.
What Year Would You Relive?
I invite you to think about this question. If you could relive one year of your life, which one would it be and why? Did your answer surprise you? Was it hard to narrow down to just one year? If you’re lucky, it was. And if you didn’t have an answer, that just means your defining moment is coming. Like me, awareness may hit you like a ton of bricks, or that awareness may not hit you for many years. But there will be an answer. Have faith.
