Lost and Found

Lost and found in that grand old canyon.
Looking down, I was lifted up.
From a hopeless heart to a flying eagle.
In the river's voice, I heard His love.

And the echo filled my soul
Broke through my heart of stone
I hid behind
For too long a time,
But He knew all along
One day He'd prove me wrong
No matter how far down I'd gone
I was not alone.

Of all the colors in a rainbow
I only ever saw the green.
Got my pockets full, but I still felt empty
'Til I saw that sunset, and light dawned on me.

And the colors filled my soul
Lifted those shades I'd closed
And hid behind
For too long a time,
But He knew all along
One day He'd prove me wrong
No matter how far down I'd gone
I was not alone.

Like a lone pinyon pine
On a ledge of wrong and right
Weak from holding on so tight
I leaned
And let go of everything,
But Rock of Ages never let go of me.
No, He never let go of me.

And His mercy filled my soul
Despite all the lies I told
And hid behind
For too long a time,
But He knew all along
One day He'd prove me wrong
No matter how far down I'd gone
I was not alone.

Lost and found in that grand old canyon
Looking down I was lifted up.
