In the rhythmic rise and fall

Of the moon’s nocturnal symphony,

I hear the cymbals above all

Their poignant punctuation

Of the storied, ceaseless infatuation

Between the water and the wind.

*”Waves” was inspired by the dramatic waves I saw in Acadia National Park.
