Hello! Thanks for joining me! I’m Rebekah, just your average person on a mission to make life worth writing about. I have a husband, a day job, personal struggles like everyone else, and a creative river running through it all that continually carves my identity.

After experiencing an emotional crisis that spanned my late twenties to early thirties, my seemingly out-of-control life took an unexpected turn. In 2009, I met my future husband who was singing country music in a Nashville honky tonk. We were married in 2010 and took our honeymoon in 2013 to a place I didn’t want to go- Grand Canyon National Park.
Little did I know I would fall in love again. This time with national parks and all things involving nature and history. I thought this new love would be a fleeting affair, but it wasn’t. In fact, the question I’d asked for so many years, “Who am I?”, finally began to be answered. You can read how it happened in my post Just a Walk in the Park.

I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. A book can transport me to another place, another time, to new experiences- same as traveling, but far more budget-friendly.
Once I became fascinated with the national parks, I wanted to read more about them. Soon, I found myself planning trips to visit those settings for myself. As I traveled more, I wanted to learn more. And as I learned more, I found even more places to travel. New destinations have included ones as far as 2,700 miles from home (Cape Flattery, Washington) to one as close as ten (Wynnewood State Historic Site in Castalian Springs, TN).
To give you authentic accounts of my travels along with tips to help you get the most out of yours. Hopefully, I’ll even inspire you to travel more by reading more. Books can take you anywhere.
I hope you enjoy Pin Drops & Paper Trails! Let me know what you think.
